Use Physical Inventory Journals in D365 BC:
(1) In this blog, we will learn about the use of “Physical Inventory Journals” in D365 BC. It is mainly used for adjusting item inventory in the system, which means matching the system inventory with the physical inventory of the organization. Physical Inventory Journal used for rectification of stock.
(2) For this go to the search bar and open the “Physical Inventory Journals”, as shown.
(3) After that “Physical Inventory Journal” page opens, as shown.
(4) Now go to the Prepare → Calculate Inventory, as shown.
(5) After selecting the above option, a pop window opens and enter the option as per the business requirement and press the OK button as shown.

By Dimension | As Per Requirement | Specifies the dimensions that you want the batch job to consider |
(6) After that, the system calculates the Inventory from the ILE and creates a line in the journal. Now match the inventory with the physical stock sheet, if any difference finds then enter the differential quantity in the Quantity field as shown.
(7) Now Press F9 to post the entries and in this way, Inventory rectification is done.
