(1) In this blog we will get to know about the new company creation in Microsoft Business Central D365 SAAS/Cloud environment. For this open Business Central and type “Companies” in the search bar, as shown.
(2) Now open the “Companies” and select the option “New” -> “Create New Company”, as shown.
(3) After that, a new wizard window opens for the new company configuration, and then press Next as shown below.
(4) Enter the company name and required setup type, and then press Next as shown.
Select the data and setup to get started:
Evaluation – Sample Data: Create a company with the Essential functionality scope containing everything you need to evaluate the product for companies with standard processes. For example, sample invoices and ledger entries allow you to view charts and reports.
Production – Setup Data Only: Create a company with the Essential functionality scope containing data and setup, such as a chart of accounts and payment methods ready for use by companies with standard processes. Set up your own items and customers, and start posting right away.
Advance Evaluation – Complete Sample Data: Create a company with the Advanced functionality scope containing everything you need to evaluate the product for companies with advanced processes. For example, sample items and customers allow you to start posting right away.
Create New – No Data: Create a company with the desired experience for companies with any process complexity, and set it up manually.
(5) After selecting the required setup option, Press “Next” and pop message display as shown. Note: Recommended “Production – Setup data only”.
(6) Press “OK” and then press “Next”, as shown.
(7) After that new window opens and press “Finish“, as shown.
(8) In this way, a new company is created and shown in the “Companies” page list.
