(1) In this blog, we learn about the creation of Production BOM in Business Central D365. This is attached in the Item Master. This is used for defining the material of Finished Goods. It is the recipe of material.
(2) Go to the search bar and enter Production BOM, as shown.
(3) Production BOM list opens. Now press the “New” button for creating New Production BOM and for editing double click on the “No.” field as shown.
(4) After that, enter information in the below tabs. Explained with details.

Unit of Measure Code
Mandatory

Status
Mandatory
Specifies the status of the production BOM.
Options are: New: At the time of creating a new BOM. Certified: Finalize BOM of item. When Status is certified, then only used in RPO. Under Development: Waiting for finalization. Closed: BOM master blocked or closed for a particular item.

Specifies an alternate name that you can use to search for the record in question when you cannot remember the value in the Name field.

Version Nos.
Mandatory in case of Versioning
Specifies the version number series that the production BOM versions refer to.

Specifies the last date that was modified.
