Enable Multi-Factor Authentication in D365 BC:
In this blog, we will discuss “Multi-factor Authentication” in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Online. It delivers single sign-on authentication through verification options, like SMS or OTP or Call.
EnableMulti-factor Authentication:
(1) For this open D365 BC with the admin user and go to the highlighted Icon and select the Admin option, as shown.
(2) Microsoft 365 Admin Center opens, as shown.
(3) Now select “User”→ “Active User”→ “Select user from the list” and double click, as shown.
(4) After that new “Multi-factor Authentication” window opens and selects the user from the list and clicks on the “Enable” option, as shown.
(5) After doing the above step, pop window open and press “enable multi-factor auth”, as shown.
(6) Now, Multi-factor auth is enable and press button “Close”, as shown.
(7) After doing that, a multi-factor auth is enabled for that user, as shown.
(8) Now open the business central in the browser and see the result at the time of login, as shown.
(9) Enter the “Sign-in” id and press “Next”. Then enter the password, as shown.
(10) After that, second-level authentication pop open, as shown.
(11) Now, D365 BC is open, as shown.
(12) Note: When first-time login, the system asks for details, as shown.
- Enter Mobile No. and Press the Next button.
- Enter OTP and press Verify button, as shown.
- After that, Press the “Done” button, as shown.
